Robin's Project Should Be Tweaked
Robin's Project, for those who haven't encountered it yet, is to first gather then deliver 80 pieces of hardwood in 6 days. Which doesn't sound terrible until you consider that unless you've already got mahogany trees growing on your property ahead of time there isn't a guarantee of being able to complete this challenge.

I planted mine with fertilizer to make them grow faster on the day I accepted the challenge. And in the meantime I would hit up the secret woods for 12 pieces of hardwood per day so that if one of the mahogany trees managed to sprout before the others? I would, hopefully at least, have enough to complete the challenge. But none of the trees sprouted in time.

But they didn't. The only other way I know of to get hardwood is if you get lucky finding some in the mines or perhaps a treasure chest while fishing. So I feel like either the number of hardwood required to gather should be something obtainable within 6 days if you're diligent but luck isn't on your side in finding them from said sources that are a maybe, but not a guarantee? Or the number of days to complete it should be extended to at minimum 8.

That way, so long as you don't miss a day going to the secret woods, you are guaranteed to be able to complete this challenge within the time allotted.

All the bulletin board challenges take some planning. Having the Forest Map gives one an advantage to complete the challenge early game, planting mahogany is a viable option, and access to the island makes this challenge easy.

It's actually 7 days if you take it the day it appears. With just the secret woods, as long as you don't miss a day, you can gather 84 hardwood.

It's helpful if you picked the level 10 foraging trait that has a chance to give you hardwood from regular trees. I got just over 70 pieces in one day by clearing the stumps in the Secret Woods and chopping down every tree in Cindersap Forest.

I also chopped hardwood on the basic farm from the stumps, I wouldn't say anything really needs to change. The jobs cycle through anyway so if you miss it the first time you will get it next time it pops up.

actually that is one is pretty ok, I just got myself giving up on the ''gather 1000 rocks in 7 days'' one

On the day you accept the job you go chop the stumps from the secret forest.
Every day after the first that should be the FIRST thing you do when you have that job. If you chop all 7 days you will get 84 hardwood which is barely enough to finish the project.
The math is easy:
12 hardwood pieces from a full clear of the forest, 7 days for the project.
12x7=84

I got it in like 4/5 days, lol. Just chop every hardwood log in your farm and then in the Secret Woods, I even finished it with 84 or something

Don't forget there's Mahogany Trees on Ginger Island too. Leaving them be until that quest comes up can be a sound investment.

That one would be pretty easy as long as you're in single player mode. I'd just use the same method I use when farming stone to make a bunch of staircases... go to floor 1 of the mines, break open any of the large 2x2 rocks that are there, exit back up the ladder, if there aren't any large rocks just immediately exit, repeat. Since time freezes during the ladder transition every time and floor 1 re-randomizes itself immediately in single player, you can easily get a good 600 or so stones in one day. I've gotten over 800 in one day before.

The gathering part shouldn't be on the quest. All she needs is the wood for a bed project, so why is she worried about when or how I gathered it?

I made the mistake of accepting this quest thinking I could just hand her 80 of the abundant number of hardwood I had collected but then the quest didn't complete.

I disagree, I think the need to gather the supplies is important to these quests. It was far to easy to just hoard things and then complete quests instantly. The fact that you already had 80 hardwood just sitting there is proof of this.

Also, if you fail the quest, it should come around again in the rotation eventually. Which means someone could start growing mahogany asap and have it ready the next time the quest shows up

I also think this system is bizarre. If she only insisted on the wood being freshly collected, that would be strange enough. Wood does not go stale. But you can deliver the wood from your stock, however she is not satisfied until you have then collected more wood, after you have given her what wanted. She does not want the fresh wood, she just wants you to gather it, she does not want it. This makes no sense.

As for just having to deliver the wood being too "Easy"
How? You did not get the wood you have in stock for free. You had to go out and gather it each day. it took the exact same amount of time and effort to get. How was it "Easier"?

Robins Quest is on eof the easyr one and dont need any planning, i just gone into the hidden forrest every day and got it finished 2 days before deathline, only other quest i seen till now that is even easyer is the 24 eggs for omlett thing (got 2 chicken and one duck when i started the quest and hatched a black chicken at start of the timeframe)

Robin's quest was actually one of the easiest ones. Just chop hardwood everywhere you can find it and where it respawns. There's mahagony seeds. These trees grow fast with tree fertilizer.
