A mystery at the Fair

So when Welwick read my fortune at the Stardew Valley Fair, she said she saw me having a good conversation with my friend Vance. I don't know of, have never heard of, and can find no reference to a Vance in the game.
Any ideas who he might be?
Has anybody else ever received a similar fortune reading?
Fwiw, I'm in year 5 of my playthrough and at max stars with everyone.

you forgot to say that you use mods and you also forget to say that it "cant be you mods installed that cause that" .....
Because i faintly remember someone in a thread here menationed a char named Vance from a NPC Mod.

I did a search for Vance but couldn't find anything here or on Nexus. There is however a character named Lance introduced in the expanded mod. So perhaps they said Lance instead of Vance. Or the fortune teller was simply drunk @.@

I'm not using any mods, so that isn't it. Also, I'm certain it was Vance. The notion that Welwick had one too many sips of ancient fruit wine is as good a theory as I'm likely to come up with. Thanks everyone.

There are sometimes name glitches in the game. I had a spouse tell me she took care of feeding our child, David Jr. But we didn't have a child named David. It happened a couple of times, so it was weird.

You are married to Abigail?
David is her guinea pig at her parents' house (which stays there after marriage).
David Jr. is her "new" guinea pig which she brings along when she moves to the farm.

oh, ok, i didn't get she named her guinea pig David. Thanks for the clarification.
Still trying to figure out all the glitches caused by my having so many children, when they become NPC's they disappear from social list but are still in my house.
