SMAPI = trojan?
If anyone can help it will be most appreciated.

I recently moved all of my steam games to a brand new hard drive, downloaded and installed the most current SMAPI, got my mods loaded and then played for a couple of days (approx 12 hours or so) without any troubles. Everything was working just fine.

Then today my Microsoft Defender Antivirus has decided that SMAPI has a trojan of some sort? I uninstalled, deleted all the files, downloaded again and this time it wouldn't even install.

I'm sure SMAPI is safe, but it gives me this in the threat log - Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.D4!ml Threat Level Severe and will not let me use it. I have googled a bit and not found anything helpful, so I was wondering if anyone here had seen this before and knows a work-around / fix ?

The game is fun even without the mods but I kinda miss them.

I have a screencap of the antivirus report if it will help, but I'm not sure how to post it here

Thanks a ton, I looked on the wiki but apparently not very well!

No problem. If it's still flagged up for you, you might want to roll back to the previous version for a few days, and then update it, as the wiki suggests, it's probably because the update file is too new, and not many people are using it, so antivirus might have it flagged for that reason. If the previous SMAPI version is causing problems to your game play, I'd recommend making backup copies of your save file and try to see if you can roll with Vanilla for a while.
