my controller works for everygame but this one XD maybe remove it from your steam page that it has full controller support when clearly the controller doesn't work in big picture mode either XD nice one tho XD

It really depends what type of controller you are using. My PS4 controller works fine as I've tested that a few days ago.

It has full controller support. I've used three different controllers on it and they all work. The problem is on your end.

Try turning off the steam overlay. That Might fix it for you.

Controller works fine for me on GOG but not on Steam without adjustments since the last update, so I just play it on there. But last time I tried, I think a few months ago, turning off the steam overlay made the controller work. There might be other settings in steam controller settings that might help too.

valid points but I tried everything to be honest with you it just won't work for stardew valley it works for everything else, I tried doing everything I even tried running a third party controller program but nothing something on my PC probably doesn't like stardew valley and my post wasn't an attack on the game i love this game on console its one of the best, just honesty i can't use keyboard and mouse cause I have carpal tunnel and the controller doesn't work tried everything, I ill play with keyboard and mouse hen I feel more confident in my ability to do so, Thank you kindly for posting have a nice day guys =(^.^)=

Have you made sure the third party driver is labeled for your controller? I use DS4 for my PS4 controller to be able to use it without the bluetooth function. What controller are you using? The community is quite friendly to help if they have an answer for you.

I don't see you own the game to have steam support it!
If you have the game on GOG, go to GOG.
Otherwise, the game should have supported any controllers. I played with Logitech F310, Dualshock 4, Xbox One S controller, Xbox Elite Series 2, all work just fine.

EDIT: unfortunately, it happened again. Ran fine the 1st time I ran SDV and then it's back to it's old broken state. I'm trying the GOG version to see how that goes
