Possible Asset Theft?

I saw a new game being advertised on the storefront recently called Monster Harvest and I noticed QUITE A BIT of similarities between the art used there and the art used in Stardew.

Now I'm unsure as to what precisely is going on. Like, is some of the art assets CA using for Stardew pre-bought and thus eligible for anyone to use so long as they have the proper license for it or what. But I figured I'd share this here and see if there are possible shenanigans afoot.

Some of the assets definitely look like they're ripped from Stardew - the pink trees, for example. But I'd still say like 90% of the assets look new, or at least ripped from other games. :P

The title poster does look... very similar to the Stardew posters. So it's obvious that they based it off of SV, then added their own unique ideas like the monster fighting and darker atmosphere.

I'd say close but no cigar, I do see where you might think so though. That's just the thing with pixel art though, eventually some lines are gonna get blurred.

You know your video game is doing awesome when it spawns people trying to rip your style off for a buck or two. Not bad for a one man development team! :)

Hm, I did see another game that pretty much ripped off some furniture, plants, and flooring from Stardew. It's called Fantamal iirc, tho it's still under development so hopefully they're just placeholders.
