Mayor shorts

Greetings, like in tittle. He dont want back hes shorts after lau beach party. I know, now they smell with soup ingredients but its not a reason not for take them back!
All the time im getting pop up "wrong person". Tried talk, give back all the same.
Its not possible end/finish quest now?
Btw playing now mobile version.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say, but were you trying to return the shorts during the Luau Party? If that's the case, you can't do quests during any festivals. Try to return them on a day that's not a festival day.

Furthermore, if you're having an issue to return his shorts on a regular day and he wont accept them, I would advise you to make a follow-up post at the official help & bug forum, since CA do read from there occasionally, and help on various platforms of the game: https://forums.stardewvalley.net/index.php?forums/help-bug-reports.12

Ive put mayor shorts to the Lau Soup, other said ive triggered bad but funny event. Ive got panties back but now Mayor Lewis doesnt want hes boxers back. All the time getting "wrong person" pop up when trying give it back.

If I'm reading correctly from your first post, this is a mobile issue. I can't do much to help you here, but you can try the official help and bug forum as most of the other platform issues can be reported there:

Your other option I would say, probably delete the quest. You won't be able to complete it, but you're going to have to build your relationship with Lewis by other means, such as gifting his favorite things.

As I've stated previously, this needs to be reported to the official bug & help forum.[forums.stardewvalley.net] because the developers for mobile problems is more active there and can help you with your issue.

This might be a bit unorthodox, but maybe try dying with an empty inventory? Honestly since it's a quest item that probably wouldn't work though... but at the same time I wouldn't write it off completely.
