How do I play co-op with my daughter on the same Steam account?
Hi, I would like to play this game on my LAN with my 6-year old daughter.

When I tried to launch a second instance of it on another computer, I got a message from Steam saying I was logged elsewhere and that I would be disconnected.

Is there a way to play without having to buy a second license?

Thanks, that worked like a charm!

I'll consider buying a second license if she really enjoys the game.

(In that case I would probably have to create a Steam account for her, or buy it from another distribution platform...)

Go with the second Steam account. With Family sharing set up between the two accounts your daughter will be able to access the rest of your library without having to buy it all again. Although you will still have the issue of only one copy of a game being active at a time.

With family sharing you are able to run two copies of the same game, aslong as the owner of the game is in offline mode ( atleast i belive that's the case i haven't tested it out in a while ) You are also able to choose what games you do share with her, so she won't be able to play any games you don't want her to play. ( Again don't quote me on it cause i haven't checked it out in years but it's so if i recall correctly )

My 6 year old and I have been playing for a few months and are about to enter year 3. She really loves it.
