Possible bug? Slingshot not firing.

So, ill start by saying I havent played much recently so ive not directly experienced this, but my parents are, and one of them noticed something weird, they bought a bunch of explosive ammo and took the slingshot, loaded it, went to mine and fired around to practice/learn to use it, and the ammo count went down, but nothing was fired. Anyone else seen this? I came and watched and it certainly seems like that is happening

Maybe you just dropped the ammo. Sort of. I can't see what you did but there is a thing where if you don't "pull" your shot, you just won't shoot anything. As silly as it sound, you must pull it behind you so when you release it, it will shoot forward. It's a bit clunky.

Ill tell them to try it again later, see if that was the case. Its particularly awkward because im trying to report this on behalf of a family member, it didnt happen to me personally. But he was trying to use explosive ammo, bought ten, loaded them, clicks so the crosshair comes up, then releases, and the ammo count goes down to 9, but nothing happens, doesnt explode at his feet, or fly into a wall, nothing. Ill have him try it while i watch, if its still going on, ill have him try that.

I suspect that much like a lot of the "glitches" they think they are finding, they are just doing something wrong.
