Soggy Newspaper Source (or, is there a better early game source of cloth)

Hey guys, I want to build a mill, but there doesn't seem to be any decent early game sources of cloth, except recycling Soggy Newspaper. If there is a better source, could someone let me know please?

Otherwise, is there a good way to get Soggy Newspaper? Right now, I'm fishing in the 20th floor of the cave, since I figure that's the best odds for getting trash, plus I have a few crap pots that tend to get a fair amount of paper.

If you have the default farm then just fish in the pond right next to your cabin for I think if not 100% trash to fish up then at least a very high percent to get trash.

Crab pots would be the best method.

little ponds in your farm area you always get trash when fishing, but I do not know if it works on the fishing farm map

It might be just me, but even when I recycle newspaper a good 8 times out of ten I get torches. Might just want to go animals if you can.

Yeah, recycling those things rarely gets me cloth, and if I recall correctly, you need 4 cloths for the mill, right? Probably easier just to get the big barn and a sheep.

I know of 2 other possible sources of cloth... the traveling merchant by the lake will occasionally sell it, and if you have enough friendship with Emily, she occasionally sends you some in the mail. But both of those methods also rely on RNG.
