How to even chill in this game?
time goes on and on, each game with a timer is bad in a way of relaxing.

knowing that after 03:00 am you'll be "dead" even being full of energy is horrible.

also, the second mine is a stress itself. like, you have only ~ten minutes to dig it and then you have to run to get back home. what the hell even?

is there any mods to make this game more playble in this case? like slowing down the time in x2 x3 times? or disable this at all

The game has no time limit, no failure states, no real fixed goals... you're free to do things in whatever pace you want. If you feel like you can't chill, then... that's really on you. That's the important thing to realize: You are forcing yourself to do way too many things each day. The solution? Do less and let go of the productivity mindset if it stresses you out.

Even in Skull Cavern there's no real need to hurry. If you don't make it far one day, take whatever you can get and come back tomorrow. You do probably want to reach floor 100 once, but that's more a case of bringing a ton of bombs, and starcases, and other equipment than it is about the time limit.

I mean... It's just like any other sandbox game, where the more you play the easier everything gets.

The more you mine, the less energy you use per pickaxe swing. The deeper you go, the stronger your pickaxe gets, so you mine faster. The more you level up, the stronger bombs and food you can make.

Skull Caverns, for example. Instead of taking the bus at 10am, use a warp totem at 6am. You get there 3-4 hours faster. Instead of running home at midnight, use a wasp totem at 1am to get home. Instead of mining, use bombs and staircases. Instead of hoping for a ladder or a hole to appear, eat some luck boosting food. I've gotten to floor 143 before on an average luck day. It can be done with some prep work.

Not many, I'm afraid. Only... 4946 on Nexusmods.

oh, thanks, i haven't used totems yet, will found out how to get them work..

because i already tried to bring with me about 20 staircases and some bombs, and yet or mobs were killing me, or i was run out of time. what to say when all your inventory is full with staircases and healing food, you barely can take any loot. so it's always stressful for me when i get there...

Staircases stack in your inventory now. So you should still have at least 20 free inventory spaces... But if you're trying to get deep, ignore most loot. If you see an iridium rock across the room on floor 5, ignore it. Use that time to keep pushing deeper. Floor 80 will have tons of iridium rocks on it. It's not worth it to waste 30 seconds running over to grab 1 rock. Especially ignore copper/iron/gold/gem rocks.

What I do is I grind the skull caverns normally. No staircases, no bombs, just combat gear and food. I can usually get down to floor 30ish on an average day this way. I do this for about a week, and then when I've gathered a bunch of ore, stone and spicy eels, I craft staircases and bombs and munch spicy eels on a "tryhard" day in the mines.

wow, staircases are stacking now? awesome! last time i played stardew was the last year, i guess. decided to get back, especially in the summer time.. so now i can just craft 99 staircases, take them all and get to the floor 100? or even at floor 80, as you said, to grind iridium? need to check this out! and read some tutorials about totems..

thank you for your advices, I Kinda Fail. you're cool!

Ironically, I Kinda Fail has the least amount of Fail ive seen in many an Internetter. Plus whats not to love about a depressed penguin? It screams 'hug me'. Buy the game for farms, stay for the Fail.

There's also a new desert trader who sells useful mining gear in exchange for gems. I don't remember exactly what they offer, but I know 1 jade = 1 staircase, so it saves you 99 stone each. She had another useful trade too, maybe bombs in exchange for rubies or something? Basically, if you have crystalariums or a surplus of gems, you can easily supply yourself.
