1) If you want a split wallet. Play Single player. The Dev explained why currency is shared. If you are not playing cooperatively with the people you are playing with, then you shouldn't be playing with them.
2) See above
3) Why? Push T, type BRB. A good host will /pause if you're not back by the end of the night. if you're not playing with a good host, guess what. You shouldn't be playing with them.
4) /pause. It's in the information pinned topic: https://stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-v1-3-beta/
5) You can drop items on the ground or put them in a chest.
Everyone should be able to get their own "chest" at certain floors. Those could be instanced.
This is already on the way. CA confirmed.
The reason for the independant progress was more for the reason of acheivements as with multiplayer. Unless they gave achievements for both solo and multiplayer seperately this just makes it far too easy to aquire them, heavilly reducing the challenge of acheivements.
for 3 and 4 thanks for the /pause part, the vote isn't needed then :P
the drop part i just thorght would be a nice thing nothing else :)
It's just nice to have the choice :P
What if we want our own purses in multiplayer? I can play cooperatively knowing that everyone gets to spend a share of money earned. The dev has an opinion, that's fine, but the option should be available for those of us who disagree with it and would like alternatives without having to mod the game.
You're not playing cooperatively then. You're building your own farm. on your own plot. in your own little corner. My Side. Your side. My side. your side.

cooperative
noun
a farm, business, or other organization which is owned and run jointly by its members, who share the profits or benefits.
The reason i picked this was mainly for public games rather than friends or people communicating as this would help with keeping order there. You could even make it so that it can be toggled on and off for those who wish to work as a whole community at some point but there are many who i know prefer independant but also co-operation.. to an extent.
Me personally? I would want 100% shared money but i know its good to have the option avaliable as it helps appeal to different people.
Back to SV, the options CAN be available but you can't force the devs to do it. If they don't agree with it, the only choice is to deal with it. AND mod it. It's what people have done for decades.
Wrong. There are several cooperative ways to implement fair money sharing while having your own portion.
Income / players = money given per player to spend. Someone sells a potato for 60g? Each player gets 15g if it is 4 player, or 20g if it is 3 player. That way everyone's efforts pools into the same equally distributed accounts. Would even be great if there was a shared account everyone could have the option of donating to and pooling from, which is an excellent cooperative tool.
In real life, if one staff member used the entire company's networth to purchase 5000 metric tons of plastic wrap for their shipping department... the company would go bankrupt and be ruined. Your logic is flawed and you are oblivious if you insist on there being no option for this so that everyone can enjoy the game the way they would like to.
All I'm putting out there is a suggestion for a tick on and off for shared or independant, nothing else on that matter. If someone isn't pulling their weight on shared and they keep trying to buy stuff then its up to the community to say no or remove them, however if its split from the start this means people will be trading between eachother more than anything.#
It just allows two playstyles.
Did you just, completely miss the dictionary definition of a cooperative farm?
If you're playing with people who buy bag upgrades as soon as the money is available without consulting the rest of the group, then they aren't playing cooperatively. You shouldn't be playing with them.
If you do not communicate with the people you're playing with, and you're not discussing large expenditures, then you are not playing cooperatively.
The mechanics of the game don't need to be changed. The way you interact with the people you're playing with does. That is rather obviously what the game is trying to encourage.
Exactly. Nothing wrong with giving customers options, it makes the game more enjoyable for more people.
Thank you Mackenzie, was more looking for other ideas people had rather than start a debate on ideas x3
