FPS Stuttering
I just got the game and its dropping a few frames every 1-3 seconds, and the music is stuttering aswell.

PC Specs:
AMD Radeon R9 200 series : 3GB VRAM
3.4GHz proccesor
8GB RAM
Up to date drivers

Ive turned f.lux off, reduced the refresh rate of my monitor from 144 to 60, tried my other monitor etc.
Tried windowed, fullscreen, and borderless windowed to no sucess.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't know how to solve the issue you are having but I do dig your Alex Grey "Oversoul" profile pic. Alexy Grey is an amazing visionary artist :)

Sounds like the game isn't in high priority for you. I think you can fix this in task manager

The way I fixed my FPS stutter is by disabling Superfetch. win button+r > services.msc > disable superfetch and startup through properties.

I tried looking up other solutions but that was the only one that worked for me and nobody has posted it yet, at least through my finds.

I don't know how you found this, but I would like to thank you for doing so. I tried everything else I could think of and after months of issues I finally found this post, tried it, and now I can finally play without any stuttering issues.

If anybody else is having problems with their game stuttering, TRY DOING THIS!

HEY For new players who can't find "Super Fetch" It's been renamed to SysMain. The fix still works though! I just caught up on that issue.

If a built in windows service causes your games to lag, its time for a new PC. I have NEVER had any windows OS service be a hinderance to my gaming. Those services are their for a reason. In this case the OP did not state what cpu they had. Just "3.4ghz" That means absolutley nothing. My parents have a 3ghz cpu and its a 12 year old dinosaur so. Hardware first, mess with windows second.

Not everyone can run out and buy a new rig at the drop of a hat, which your words and tone imply is the only viable solution. Sometimes we all need a workaround, and if these fixes work, brilliant. Also, this thread is from years ago; creativeleyinsane simply updated the information for current users, so you are overreaching a bit to go after the OP's pc. Just cool your jets, dude.

This did not help me, unfortunately. I've also updated all of my mods, reinstalled that _CommonRedist thing. Idk what to do anymore. I've had no problem playing for years and then suddenly today my FPS tanks randomly, just walking on my farm. It's unplayable.

**EDIT** It seems that maybe my save file was corrupted. Moving to a new game after a fresh install fixed my issue, after doing also all of the above. But considering the above didn't work, I would assume it was the new game that fixed it.

Maybe it can help you aswell. I had this problem with a Ryzen Processor, maybe it's the same solution for you

Was it necessary to Necro this many threads? One maybe, but 4 or 5?
