Is there a way to make this game standalone/portable?

Hello, I want to play this game on work but can't install on their machines, so I need a alternative like a standalone version running on pen drive, is there a way to do that? I've tried just copying the files but the exe doesn't run doing that.

you'll probably have to buy the game again from a vendor outside steam that doesn't have restrictive drm and install it directly onto the pen drive.

copying the files from steam wont work since you'll need to be logged in, the directory will be messed up.

It's on GOG.com and everything sold by them is DRM-free.
