Has anyone else noticed that their health bar goes down faster when fighting enemies in the mines?
SO me and a friend have been playing Stardew Valley in multiplayer and we both have noticed that when we go into the mines and w're caught in one of the monster swarms (where monsters will attack you in a swarm in a cloudy/foggy room), and our health goes down really quick. Yeah we come fully prepared with lots of food and yeah we have some pretty good swords but we noticed that the enemies hit a lot harder than before. None of us use mods (except for me using a visual mod to make my horse turn into a Pokemon but that's just a visual mod, not a mod that should be messing with the game play).

It's probably just that more enemies are coming in and hitting you a lot more frequently.

Make sure to time your attacks properly instead of just swinging wildly, and you'll still avoid most, and possibly all, attacks.

Attack damage from monsters is reduced by the Defense Stat found on Shoes.

Maybe it's a multiplayer thing, changed for balance? I wouldn't know though.

It also happened to me during single player too.

Once you reach the bottom of the mines, all the monsters hit harder.

Usually not an option in multiplayer. The game doesn't quite sync up between multiple people well enough to handle even two players hitting a mob at the same time. Wild swinging is about the only way to actually hit the enemy.

On the plus side, frequent double drops when multiple players deliver a killing blow.
