A winter mystery

I have played various files for a total of 396 hours but have never seen this before. Anyone know where this person is? Any help is appreiated.

you do it during winter, go from your farm to the bus stop on foot not on the horse and it should work

It's new since August 2018. So if you weren't in Winter at the time it wouldn't have triggered.

Follow foot steps that you see in the snow

As a follow-on, I had no idea what to do and missed finding the bush in the first winter. i seem to not be able to trigger this again.

In following winters, are you able to see the footsteps in the snow? Exit the bus stop to the right and you should see them immediately as you enter the town.

Two different posters here. I do not see any footprints this winter. I am wondering if I missed the opportunity for finding the dude in the bushes. I happened to be playing in MP, my partner found him, but I did not.

hmm.. I found a thread on reddit and people are saying that you need to just walk to the bus stop from your farm, so don't ride a horse if you have one. You can try repeatedly walking back and forth between the farm and bus stop. Someone said doing that this triggered it eventually.

Another possibility is that your MP friend got the reward and you just didnt see it.. Check your inventory to see if you got the reward it's a magnifying glass in your wallet that lets you read secret notes

I will check not riding the horse. I think if I had the "thing" in my inventory I should also have the tab keeping track of the items, which I do not. But will try the walking thing to see if it pops. Thank you.

My footsteps in the snow were up by the community center / playground, not the bus stop. Once I realized what they were they were easy enough to follow. Activate the bushes near the end of the footsteps to complete the quest.

It would be in your wallet. On the page that shows your skill levels and your farmer's name. (Hopefully you found it by now, though.)
