It's no different from any other game that is available on both PC and console.
If you own Skyrim on PS4, you still have to buy the PC version if you want to play on PC.
And if you own Stardew Valley on PC, you still have to buy it on Switch.
You were expecting a freebie?
1. buy it again on nintendo switch
2. purchase a switch online subscription if you wish to play multiplayer
3. if you currently enjoy modding your game on PC, you will not be able to do so on switch.
Some people don't understand the concept of purchasing a game multiple times because its on a different platform, but you have to understand the developer of the game incurred additional costs and effort making sure it worked and is licensed on that system, so to utilize that, you will have to pay. (unless you use "Play anywhere" titles on xbox and PC, then you can play those without buying them twice)
