how rare are prismatic shards and ranbow shells

i cant get them how rare are they

Rainbow shells are on beach at summer, pretty easy to find 1 every couple days if you check each day. (Don't know how rare prismatic shards are.)

If you get a prismatic shard, save it for the crystarium so you'll have a supply of them for selling, quite worth it and can make a crap ton of gold.

You cannot put prismatic shards in the crystalarium.

Always save 2 prismatic shards when you first get them too- 1 for the Galaxy Sword and the other for the Museum. I always did the Galaxy sword first since it's the strongest sword. Also the higher your luck the more likely you'll get a Prismatic shard, even though it's not always guaranted.

I managed to get a prismatic shard after I got through the entire mine(reaching the bottom) and specifically hunting for the shadow brutes. Had to resort to that as I lost my obsidian edge trying to get the shard in the skull caverns. Got knocked out and it took my sword and I didn't want to spend obscene amounts of cash on a weapon. Used the lead club and managed to get that prismatic shard, went to the desert as soon as I got up the next day xD
