In my personal game, I've married Shane! I really like his story line and heart events, although they are quite sad :((
A second would definitely be Sebastian. I'm a sucker for his character type--"goth" sweethearts. Also, he has a motorcycle. Hell yeah.
I'm also growing on Alex and Elliot. Elliot's super underrated, I feel, and now I get why! I have yet to get to the full 8 hearts with any of them (given the fact I'm married to Shane and have no intention of divorcing him) but so far, I like their events. I gotta get closer to the gals still :')

first character i married with is Penny so you can say that she is one of my fav character. Guess just have a thing for a mother-ly figure and she is such a sweetheart. I also like to hang out with Evelyn, the mayor, Emily and Leah. Jas and Vincent are also lovely to play with. Marnie is kind and often help me out with some free hay so i also have a spot for her. And Willy which i can relate with

i'd love to know more of Shane, Clint, Harvey and Maru since i havent got the chance to talk with them more even tho they seem to be an interesting characters

and personally dislike Hailey, Alex, Sam, Pam, and Pierre

I've married Sebastian in one file and Sam in another. My personal favorite is Sebastian as a husband because he gives me coffee instead of pancakes, which Sam gives me. He also is just a lot less lazy than Sam.
I like Maru, she's really nice, and I really don;t like Alex.
I would want to learn more about Haley and why she's the way she is.

Honestly Sebastian kinda rubs me the wrong way. I don't hate him, but I'm not a fan of the emo type. Feels like I'm in the minority on this one.

Having seen all her heart events (minus the 14-heart one), I don't recall there ever being much of such an explanation. However, as you get more hearts with her she becomes less like 'that' and turns out alright. Not a character I personally take umbrage with, with that in mind. Alex goes through a similar change, for the record.

Is there someone you really don't like? Shane, while he may have a semi redemption arc at marriage his personal room is still messy and full of alcohol.

Someone you'd like to know more about? I'd like an official something to add to the story of most of the villagers. Stardew Valley Expanded is nice but I'd like expansion from an official source

Sebastion all the way, even for marry, when i first started he was not my first choice however, Alex was, but my sister said if i chose him, she will delete my account so i chose Sebby!
TBH i don't like Elloit, to me he comes off a little elite which i don't fits in that well with everyone else.
Everyone, there are alot of plot holes that i would like to fill!

I used to hate Sebastian because he seems like the kind of "Edgy emo kid who really enjoys smoking because it's edgy." kind of archetype, but that's really not the kind of attitude that comes across in his dialog. So he somewhat grew on me.

Penny is nice as a character, very honest and empathetic person. And she has that "outgrow your disadvantages"-background which, while somewhat stereotypical, I find very enjoyable.

My favorite character by far is Major Lewis though. Not because I connect with him, but he's easily the most fleshed out and most well written person in all of Stardew Valley in my opinion. He has personal issues, hobbies, and a ton of connections to the entire city. The fact that he's central to most holidays helps, too.

I 100% agree and could have said the exact same thing. I don't think he's so bad anymore either, though.

To be honest, I kind of like all of the Characters. They are definitely very interesting.

I do not think I ever got around to marrying one of the NPCs. As mentioned before, they are all likable and I definitely spent a lot of time building up Friendships with many of the Townsfolk on previous files.


I think my preferred choice for Marriage would probably either Emily or Penny.

I spent a lot of time getting to know the NPCs, so I pretty much like all of them... Although I think Clint might be my least favorite since he is sarcastic, boring and a super pessimist.

I want to know more about Gus, or at least have additional dialogue options with him. The way things are set up, he does not get to talk about interesting things very often... Usually my way of befriending him is to buy Coffee off of him and then give it back as a present, a "Pick Me Up" as it were.
