I've cleared hundreds, possibly thousands, of those regular dirt tiles within the mines, though. I see reports of a 0.8% chance or 1% chance to find the egg, but certainly that can't be per tile.
Is it that each dirt tile has a predetermined chance to create an artifact when struck, and that those probabilities apply to what kind of artifact will emerge if an artifact has been successfully determined from a tile?
I've gotten maybe 5 in 500 hours. 3 were from fishing, and I dug up 2 on the same day in another file. >_>
fishing or artifact spot/stems/worms
whatever you call it, is better choice than wasting energy in hoeing mines
Never any from the mines, despite some pretty serious hoeing.
