The chickens held me hostage.

I got trapped in my coop. There was no escape. The chickens blocked my exit. I tried pushing them, I tried hitting them with an axe. Nothing helped. I danced in circles to contain my boredom. They wouldn't budge... I munched on eggs to keep my hunger at bay.. Finally, after what felt like hours, I couldn't take it anymore. I ran to the nearest clucker guarding the door.... And I sold him.

I mean... if you just run into them for a while, you go through them.

Tried that. They were in a weird square/triangle corner thing and just kept running into eachother instead of out of the way. Didn't matter which way I shoved.

I've had to sell animals too. You know what a simple solution would be? If they allowed doors to be expanded.

I mean... I could whip up a quick mod to add another door, or just a "warp point" to allow you to get out of the coop.

Granted most people probably dont have it till end game, Just use the Return Scepter or any warp Totem to get out. But like most people have said, I have no problem walking threw Chickens, Kids, Wife, and Dog/Cat, You just keep running into them until the game lets you pass, Havent seen an instance of it not happening, guess im lucky as hell, because this would annoying the ♥♥♥♥ out of me if I had to restart my day because a Chicken decided I wasnt leaving the Coop. I have 3 Coops with 36 animals, on year 4, Ive never got trapped in any of my Coops.

I have this problem with my chickens all the time, not the cows. They try and move out of the way, but there's nowhere to move, so they move a step to the left, a step to the right, a step to the left...

It usually takes me 30 minutes in-game time to get past one blocking the door. I don't EVER walk through them, they just move left and right or up and down until I manage to get that sweet spot of 1 pixel that lets me pass.

Villagers and the horse "shake" before you walk through them, I've NEVER seen a chicken "shake".

Really, just wait until 2am and then you will pass out and be sent to the doctor's office. It will cost 50g but all your chickens will be there. So next time, do your chickens last, then if the problem happens, you are covered.

Speaking of chickens, I found this weird glitch! If you press 'Allow Pregnancy' or where the 'Allow Pregnacy' button should be, the game will let you rename your animal. Still trying to figure out where to report glitches at though. Help?

I got trapped by my chickens again today... I don't know how I seem to be in the minority here. Maybe I just need to move my mayo machines, but my chicken was wedged between the machine in the door, and I ended up selling her to get out.

Day1, chicken's wouldn't let me leave. Had to devour their eggs for nourishment.

Day5, still stuck in the coop. The chickens know me by BawK BAWk, they say it with what I believe is hostility though. Probably since I stole so many of their infantile eggs.

Day10, why hasn't anyone looked for me yet? Does my wife loathe me that much that she doesn't even notice my absence for a week+? Did she talk Marnie into charming the chickens into doing this to me! I must be going mad, if I think people can conspire with chickens...

Day12, how are these things immune to my AXE!? Maybe we, humans, are the weakest link... ALL HAIL OUR CHICKEN OVERLORDS!.

Day14, I have decided to marry Roxanne for power, she is clearly the dominate chicken of the bunch. It is just for title though, these chickens have no need for a partner... their eggs are already fertile. May our marriage bring some respect to my own person & hopefully the miniscule amount of respect I earn thru this action will allow me to avoid any further extraspecies hostility.

I stopped keeping anything useful in the barn myself because the chickens just tend to clump up around it and block my access. Getting trapped the way you did sounds like a real nightmare!

It would be pretty cool to see some 'command functionality' so you could direct your animals to move out of the way, somehow. Or just to be able to pick up your chickens, even- I wonder if there's a mod for that?
