Made my first shed today.
Wish I hadn't. Its so small inside. Can only fit around 40 kegs inside.

It's more space than if you just placed the kegs though, it turns a 3x7 space into an 11x9 space. There are mods to increase the size, too. (Or not, a quick search turns up nothing. I could quickly make a shed size increase mod, if you want it.)

Ideal shed layout holds 67 kegs/jars/crystalariums

Sheds are more for design or roleplay, I guess. Or maybe cost effectiveness.

Like, I know deluxe barns are bigger, but I'd rather have a shed for my kegs and preserve jars. I don't want my beer tasting like cow poop. :P

You can also put carpet and wallpaper down in them, so they're great for design. I've seen people make "coffee shops" and "museums" out of sheds. Just for fun and look.

But I use sheds mainly because I don't wanna put kegs in a barn. >_> I wouldn't mind if they were bigger, though.

I turned my barn into storage and for preserves. So I thought the shed would be great to put in more kegs or jars. I was suprised as well how small it felt. But its been a great addition and space saver.

I'd rather build barns. I think the sheds are over priced for what you get.

This so much. I didn't get one until year two. And the price was the second reason why I was disappointed. It seems like something you'd get near the start so your furnaces and chests aren't outside in the rain and lighting, But its price said otherwise.

The shed is 15,000, A barn is only 6,000. The shed is the most expensive structure robin has.

I made a shed filled with keg and I was happy with it. I mean unless you really need a pointless amount of money, you should do fine. That shed alone is minimum 1million money for me per season. 250k per week. I don't even know what to do with that money. More is... pointless.

I think the fact that you can decorate it and that it looks nicer overall is why it is higher priced. More of an end game building.

I did also feel cheated when I bought it. I thought: I'M TOO LAZY TO FULLY UPGRADE A BARN THIS IS GONNA BE LIKE 10X BETTER OMG IM SO EXCITED!!! 3 Days Later: oh my gosh this sucks.

Yeah, but if you have the money and material you can line a few of those up and fill them with crystalariums and make some good money doing nothing.

I may have done that

I mean, sheds only cost 15k. Fully upgrading a barn to get their max size costs at least triple that- and I can only conveiently fit 120 kegs in my deluxe barns. That's just under double the 67 that'll go ina single shed, and the sheds have a smaller footprint and a more conveinetly centered door (Barn doors are all the way on the left of the building). They're easier to squeeze into tight places where you otherwise would have dead space on the farm, /and/ you can decorate them however you please.

Sure, they're more expensive than they'd seemingly need to be, but I've got nearly a dozen of them on one file and they're worth every gold for their utility value.
