Corn doesn't grow properly?

So... I planted 5 Corn Seeds on the 5th of Summer along with many other summer plants. Every other plant is growing fine and filling my wallet, but i'm in 22th of summer now and the Corn is still in Stage 4? I'm sure i watered them every day, but Corn just seems like it doesn't want to grow.
What's the matter here? Is this a known issue? Any ideas?

If you're sure you watered them they should grow. Try verifying your local files. Right click on the game in your Steam library. Select properties and then click on the local tab. Click on verify. This should correct glitched files.

Have you tried harvesting it? The sprite for the almost fully grown plant isn't that different from the ready to harvest one at a glance.

No I haven't tried harvesting them, since they're completely green and obviously immature. Corn should be Yellow if you can harvest it. Stage 4 is not even fully grown. But just for an update, it grew to Stage 5 on day 25. Now it seems to take it's sweet time again to progress to fully grown.
I'll continue to keep an eye on this strange phenomenon.

EDIT: Day 27, Corn finally starts Spawning properly.

It should've been ready to harvest by the 19th if you were watering every day so this issue is really weird.

Have you got corn growing elsewhere on the farm? It would be interesting to see if it was a corn problem or a problem with that patch of ground.

I'm in my first Year. Its just a row of 5 Corn Plants right next to my other stuff which grows perfectly fine btw. When planting these, i was like "okay let's try almost every plant just to see how they behave."
Corn also seems to drop just fine now. I'm in autumn now.
The issue was, that it didn't grow as fast as it was supposed to do at some point during it's development.
