They're essentially very small laptops. Not quite pocket-sized, but almost as tiny as a handheld console.
They probably cater to a very niche customer base. Usually, laptops are the preferred size for people who are often on the move because they're small and light enough to be easily carried but still reasonably big enough that you don't have to hold them up to your face, but I would imagine there are a few people for which a laptop is not an option for whatever reason.
I did check the graphic card Intel HD Graphics 405 of this GPD, and as far as I understood, it should run, but I was asking here just to be sure that I won't get GPD with higher expectations.
I am not on the move all the time, but I do want to buy this so I can pass up the boredom while travelling to work/home and sometime play on my bed when I don't feel like getting up.
I was in dilemma between this to other GPD 7" screen with 1920x1200 ( http://www.gpd.hk/pocket.asp ), but not quite sure since I need Joystick in order to play properly and the idea of bringing my Logitech F710 is... not quite good and too bold out
Another question to you all: Netbooks 10"~10.1" (these mini laptops), will Stardew Valley also play in netbooks? I read it needs DirectX 10 and only Windows 8 and up are supported, but I am asking here as well.
