What registers the fish to go on the collections tab?

I'm going for the Master Angler achievement along with the achievement of collecting all stardrops, you get a letter from Willy after catching all fish with a stardrop, and I have caught a Walleye for the Night Fish Bundle and it didn't register. Also I remember checking the collections tab after catching the Angler and it was there. It doesn't really add up.

Is it once you catch the fish or after shipping it?

The fish tab of the collections tab is supposed to show all fish that you have caught (but not just purchased). Shipping them isn't supposed to matter.

Indeed, the only thing that counts is catching the fish.

Buying or shipping a fish won't do anything.

Probably a bug then, it sucks that I'll have to wait until fall to catch a Walleye again, but there are two fish that are only available end-game so it doesn't matter really. (I'm in Winter Year 1 atm)
