When you don't have enough wood so you do "that" .....
Just checking out how many people besides me got ticked with how much wood you needed for projects on the farm and ended up being evil and turning Cindersap Forest into Cindersap Plains :steamhappy:

I've done that, though I've also just bought some from Robin if i needed it badly enough.

Oh, I do that once in a while. They grow back so fast, you'd barely notice!

Or turn half the farm into an unpenetrable forest, then go into full serial lumberjack mode and devestate what you spent so much time cultivating

Bomb logging is the way to go. Mega bombs can level the forest very, very quickly.

Only reason not to deforest the forest is if you've got all your tree taps there.

I chop down all the trees anyway, then sell it to Joja so they can bundle it up and sell it right back to people who need wood for their fires. No trees left for them to get wood from.

CAPITALISM.

Next step is to take all the water so you can sell it back to them as bottled. Then the water rights you can't buy you use as a chemical dumping ground so no one can drink it.

Do morris proud.

I'm shocked and appalled.

I mean, you totally left out the part where you mine out all the rocks from underneath Pelican Town, causing buildings to start collapsing into sinkholes, whereupon you sell the rocks as foundation materials to the contractors that are brought in to rebuild them!

i didnt figure it out until it was too late! would have really helped during my first winter. but now, i just buy most my wood. the opportunity cost to chop/gather it is too high. cheaper for me to buy it.

i buy all my coal too these days.

Chopping cindersnap forest regularly is really one of the easier ways to make sure youve got enough sap and level your foraging in the first year. Getting to foraging 4 by Spring 15 when Salmon berry season hits for the +1 to berries is really helpful early on.
