Like the golden clock. Your paying that much money to not get daily plant fiber, stone, and wood. I can see the value in it, but at the cost... I don't even use fences.
The price make sense say down the joja path since its all min maxing, but not the community path IMO.
Only one to me that seems worth is the junimo hut.
I still can't believe how much the 1.1 stuff is. Like the return staff. What is korbus going to do with 2 or 20 million dollars?
The totems might be useful, but I never used the single-use, so the infinite use is kinda meh to me.
I don't think many people use them, the limited use totems. None of them go anywhere amazing like the desert. And by the point you can make the rain totem due to its bad requirement of truffle oil you already have tons and tons of sprinklers.
The farm warp might save you a few times, but I don't bother with that either. The only ones I used were a couple beach ones from the bundle to catch a morning fish. The mine network makes them pretty redundant too.
Say you wake up, its 7 and you want a head start on your day so you warp to town to buy seeds. Tough luck, he's closed until 9 anyways. Even ocean fishing its not amazing because willy won't be open either if your tackle breaks and you can't make extras. Plus you spawn on the beach and not where you want to be, on the dock.
Like you could warp to the beach to grab coral and sea urchins and stuff, then warp back home. Or if you're on your farm, and it'll take an "hour" to get to the beach, that's like 3 fish you could've caught in that time.
I have no idea the use of the mountain one. It's right in the middle, but that isn't helpful. If it was right by the mine entrance, or in the center of the lake, that'd be good for minecarts, mining or fishing. Or heck, even a warp to the quarry or Adv Guild. Even more useful, to me, would be a warp to the train station entrance.
But the current position is just so useless. I'd definitely take the ocean warp over the mountain warp.
That said, the farm warp is pretty useful. If you're in the desert mines, and about to go down another floor, it's gonna be about 1am by the time you get back to Pelican Town. If it's midnight, this gives you a little more than an hour on the clock, to keep looking for ores and gems.
How many times do you need to warp from the skull mine to home to make up the loss of all that money? When you could just make 20 or 30 warp totems.
How many weeds do you need to pull to save more time than what you spend gathering to buy the clock?
Golden clock would be worth to me if it let you set a season and every month is that season. So you could set your favorite season and rake in the cash. Then it could pay for itself. Imagine no winter ever and just an entire field of ancient fruits.
I'm just starting Summer of year 2 and I've already got 1.5m total earned, with 40k in my wallet. I've got like 400 hops growing... which would get me over 2m once I turn them into pale ale. And my greenhouse is growing ancient fruit and starfruit.
And I'm on the forest farm, which has very limited space. I'd have about 5x the crops growing by now if I'd done the standard farm.
I'm unlikely to ever make that much money. I know it's possible, but I'm not one of those players who's obsessed with maximizing my profits and raking in as much money as I possibly can. I usually get bored when I have so much money that nothing is really a challenge for me anymore so I focus on earning enough to buy what I need and that's it. I did start an ancient fruit farm in my greenhouse though so I shouldn't have issues affording the next farm upgrades I want.
The Junimo Hut sounds pretty awesome, but unfortunately I would have to completely redesign my crop areas to put one in, and I'd have to expand the farm well into the wild forest that I've kept on the farm for aesthetic reasons, so that's probably not going to happen...
2 quality sprinklers, 1 normal, then 2 quality.
1 iridium, junimo+scarecrow+quality, 1 iridium
2 quality, 1 normal, 2 quality
It's something like 123 crops per square... unfortunately the forest farm isn't great to work with. :P Can only fit like 4 with my current setup.
4 would be way more than I need. Unfortunately, I'm only working with 2/3 of the available space, so even 2 would be more than I could comfortably fit in without destroying the aesthetic style of my farm. :(
