Farm Themes?

Do you guys stick with set themes for your farms? For example, calling your farm Disney Farm and then naming all your animals and kids after Disney characters. That's just one of many examples, your theme could be anything.

This is my first play through so it's a bit haphazard but I do have kind of a theme going. My farmer's name is Ashleigh, which is my name. I named my farm Storybook Farm because I'm a writer, then I married Elliott, the town writer. I thought it fitting, lol. I named my daughter Sorcha (SOR-SHA) and I'll be naming my son who's on the way Ciaran (KEE-RIN), after characters in one of my favourite book series. My cat is named Jingles, which is my real cat's name.

Then I sort of veered away a bit with my farm animals, naming them after roleplay characters my friends and I have had over the years. I've just discovered I can rename animals though so I might rename them all to book characters in order to keep with my storytelling theme.

I have an animal-based farm, mainly chickens, with the intention to marry Shane, the alcoholic.

Motherclucker Farm. My dog's name is Tipsy. We have several breweries.

I've had the Sevenwaters books on my shelf for a decade, still unread. You tempt me, but the way I focus, gaming and reading are an either/or proposition, and right now I've got a farm to run. ;)

I don't watch that show (queasy stomach, can't watch gory stuff) but that sounds hilarious. XD

Mythology! Always a good theme. I've done that a few times myself.

I pretty much name my animals whatever pops into my mind when Marnie asks me. For example: one of my cows is named Chicken and I have all the intention of naming a chicken Cow. The irony is furthered when I recieve the message informing me that Chicken has no milk right now. Also, given your story-ish playstyle, I know a mod or two I could link you which might help augment that sense.

I dont know why but I named my chickens after lord of the rings characters..fellowship of the chickens XD
