I went to the spot shown on the message for the desert but can't trigger anything. I tried the axe, hoe, and pickaxe, but nothing happened. Maybe place something? Help, please.

If the spot is in between the three pillars, you need to hold a prismatic shard at the spot. You'll get the Galaxy Sword.
