Yuri Potential?
Yes, i'm well aware that HellaYuri's recommendation says that it is possible to woo/marry with girls with your female MC, but what I really want to know is if it's really worth the price during a sale since, if it isn't worthwhile in the long haul then i'll stick with others that deliver promising Yuri potential as the road is further travelled and so forth. If any avid Stardew Valley fan can answer this burning question of mine then i'd be truly grateful, really. :jasminhappy:

You can marry people of the same sex but if you're on the fence because of just that then you have your own problems. Stardew is an amazing game, 10/10 and super fun. If you're just looking for games with homosexual content then you really should get into those story games that're around a dollar a pop written by someone making their wet dream.

As long as it isn't a total "Farming Simulator" then I might be interested in due to the fact that it has some Yuri potential in it, but if it's just "Farm, raise animals, visit town/tavern, sleep" and then rinse/repeat then i'll just skip this one then.

You probably should look elsewhere then, you hit the nail on the head with that presumption. You don't seem like the type to play this, you just wanna smash two dolls together and make kissing noises. Nothing wrong with that bu everyone has a criteria.

Nah, i'm not that single-minded, I definitely don't mind some variety during Yuriliciousness, but I also don't like total "Farming Simulator" titles either, so yeah. Thanks for answering my question regardless, I truly do appreciate it. :higu_mion:

It's a farming game with romance options. If you romance a girl, you'll get 5 cutscenes together, you'll get married, and be able to adopt kids. There's no smutty drawings or nude portaits, if that's what you're asking? Just waking up every day, talking to your wife, giving her a kiss, then going off to do farm work or fish or whatever.

It's the same like any harvest moon: 95% farming/mining/fishing and 5% gifting things to villagers, which then cause simple 2-minute cutscenes from time to time. Once you're married, there isn't that much you can do with your partner, except your partner asks you if you want to make/adopt a child.

I know, I wasn't expecting/asking for NSFW content, just Yuri potential is all. And i'm glad you guys answered that question for me and as such I am grateful. I've reached the verdict in which I won't buy this title thanks to the answer you gave to my burning question, thanks again. :Helen_wink2:

Different people look for different things in their entertainment? What's the problem?

well the problem is he was searching for yuri in non yuri game. its like im looking for racing in doom

Technically there is yuri, as yuri is just content featuring love between women. It's a common misconception that yuri = smut only.

In this game, you can play as a woman, and marry other women. If you're someone who chooses to apply the "yuri" label to lesbian relationships overall (and not just when it's Japanese-created media), then this may not be a "yuri game," but it is a "game with yuri."

Eh, not exactly. But I won't nitpick.

enlighten me then

I'm not an expert on the matter, but as I understand it:

Yuri literally means lily in Japanese, but has become a term to describe media with same-sex relationships featuring women. I think it more accurately applies when such relationships are the focal point, particularly in manga, anime, literature, artwork, and such - not necessarily "mainstream" media. Lilies also feature heavily as flower motifs in some yuri works.

Yaoi, I learned after a bit of research earlier today, is actually an acronym. Yaoi - works featuring same-sex male couples - is predominantly targeted at straight women. Bara is the content that's made by gay men, for gay men.

Yaoi, whose translated acronym apparently means "no climax, no point, no meaning," at its core seems to be more focused on sexual content first and foremost (as the acronym implies), but that's not always the case, by any means. Yuri is more of a catch-all, and covers both family-friendly content and explicit content equally.

I probably got overly wordy in explaining it, and I apologize for that. But I hope I got the information across decently well, even if I may turn out to be off the mark on some details.
