yes I think that could be. because I planted each one of the fruit tree on the tile (in parts that cannot be planted by seed, but tree still can planted there) in the green house and until now it still bears fruit

I suppose theoretically, if you cut down all the trees in your farm, it would be more convenient than trying to tap the trees elsewhere in town.

Why wouldn't you just plant new trees on your farm? Trees around the map respawn on their own, so you can always get new seeds. Planting trees in the Greenhouse is a giant waste of money.

because op maybe simply doesnt want any trees on his farm and needs the space for something else? or he just wants to have all trees in his greenhouse, who knows. if op wants to waste money, let him.

It just seems goofy to plant a tree that can grow 3 seasons out of the year in the limited space of the green house instead of just putting them outside. It's not like fruit trees that you get a return from every day.

These forums never cease to amaze me.

Not everyone plays this game for max efficiency. Not everyone likes planting crops. If someone were to otherwise not use the greenhouse, then I see nothing wrong with planting trees in there and out of the way of other projects.

I hate planting crops myself and only do so when I absolutely have to. I just like raising animals and planting fruit trees myself; while the fruit trees aren't efficient, the animals are.. and I'd argue pigs + the 10 foraging perk makes them the best money makers in the game anyway.

It's a valid question to probe for reasons and intent, if someone is asking something (with no context or explanation) for something that seems backwards, or makes little sense. The vast majority of players very much ARE going for a rough "best of" scenario, even if they're not min/maxers.

It's a courtesy just to check and make sure that maybe the person with the question just is unaware of some other game mechanic that would make their life easier. I recall one post where someone apparently had been selling all crops to Pierre, and didn't realize you could ship things through the bin. He was expressing frustration that Pierre would occasionally close, and it was only through a few more posts where someone finally just went ahead and asked him ... that the truth came out.

If everyone had jumped down that guy's throat for just making sure, that player never would've learned that there's a better way.

It's not an insult to cover all bases, and just explore the possibility that simple ignorance might be at the root of the question. There's no need to be defensive over it, and there's certainly not any need to become offended on someone else's behalf (this, to me, is way more irritating than the innocent probing questions seeking out reasons behind someone's intent).

The people posting just after the OP seemed to me to just be making sure that the OP really wanted to plant trees that are plantable anywhere on his farm in the greenhouse -- any way you slice it, it's not something that makes a great deal of sense unless you have a very specific, niche reason to do so.

Are you kidding me with this?

The guy posed a very straight forward and simple question. Can they be grown in the greenhouse, and if so, could they be tapped? The people responding to this (much like I see in the vast majority of replies to questions on this entire forum) were mostly questioning his decision to want to do it. Was the guy asking whether or not it was a 'good' idea to do so?

With that said, people can post whatever they want. I can still question their mindset though, and I will always find it frickin annoying.

I think everyone figured it probably would work, but no one had ever tried cause they leave them outside. I doubt many people do it
