Maple Bars Are OP
So Maple Bars are a littlebit OP in my opinion.

I just noticed it recently, but I think this is one of the the most efficent foods in the game.

For start you need 1 Sugar, 1 Wheat Flour and 1 Maple Sirup for a single bar.

It maybe sounds expensive first, but you need to consider, that for that low-low price you get an item which gives you +225 Energy, and Restores 101 Health. And for extra, you get +1 for Mining, Fishing, and Farming for more than 16 minutes.

The ingredients are dirt cheap around the second-third year, because you can make every of them in your farm.

First, after you unlocked the Calico-desert, you can purchase beet seeds, which can be planted, and turned into Sugar. The best thing, that 1 beet produces 3 Sugar, and thanks to the ability to Grow Crops inside the house you can get an infinite amount of supply, if you turning half the stock back into seeds on a lucky day.

You can abuse the same method to obtain infinite amount of Wheat, and logically Wheat Flour.

The only missing component is the Maple sirup, however with 10-12 Maple tree you can get a good amount. Sure it's more investment than the other two, but for exchange you can get one of the best food items in the game.

What are your thougts? It was obvious, or am I wrong? What is your favourite food? Feel free to write everything down in the comments section!

I like Roots Platter for boosting my attacks in the mines, since once you get to about level 40 in the mines, you get the ingredients without even trying.

This is the trade-off. You can have only buffs from one food at a time (not counting Coffee). So you have to choose which buffs you want to go with and if it's worth the time and expensive to collect the ingredients. Generally I go with Roots Platter too, because I don't need the buff from the Maple Bar. The Maple Bar for me is only good as a Loved gift for Sam. Otherwise i only make one to get the Sous-Chef achievement that unlocks the nice purple hat. LOL.

I take the Roots Platter plus a couple non-buff foods to the mines. Common Mushrooms are easy to get early game if you go with the Mushrooms in the farm's cave, and they restore a decent amount of energy and health for something that isn't a recipe. For a better non-buff food with a lot of Energy and Healthy replenish, I like Radish Salad or Blackberry Cobbler. You can get the recipe for the Radish Salad in the first year, but it requires both Oil and Vinegar so it can get expensive early game. The Blackberry Cobbler is less expensive to make, but you can't get the recipe until Fall of Year 2 and if you still need the gold, it's hard to pass up selling all those Blackberries once you get the Bear Knowledge perk.
