Marriage and 10-Heart Events?

Alright so everywhere I tend to be reading on these discussions or forums show that once you're married, giving boquets to other potential bachelors/bacholerettes takes away 2 hearts.
I am uncertain if my gameplay is unique or not, but I still wanted to share.
I am married to Sebastian and have a child on the way [since the "Do you want to have a child?" event(?) triggered], recently I wanted to test out if the -2 hearts thing was true, but in my case it was not.
I purchased two boquets because I wanted to reach 10 hearts with both Penny and Maru, so I gave both of them a boquet on the same day. I checked before and after each gift for a decrease in Sebastian's love but noticed no change.
Recently, I ran into a 10-heart love trigger event for Penny.
Description of Penny's 10-heart event:
The part where she asks to meet you in the bath house in order to confess to you.
However, when given the option to choose between, "I feel the same way about you" or "Sorry, but I don't like you in that way". I was curious, did choosing the first option change anything?
When reading through the discussions, most people did not often give other candidates the boquet and therefore did not have an answer, which ultimately lead me to saying "Well what's the worst that can happen?"
Thus I chose the first option, I wanted to test whether or not the (single) would change or not, but it turns out that it does not.
Penny is still shown as single and hearts were not decreased with Sebastian. So from what I gathered, you're still allowed to see the other 10 heart events and not face consequences.
The next morning, Sebastian didn't give me any sassy remarks of jealousy, as I've heard others have faced.
So just go and experience the love!
Once again, this may just be a unique experience for me, but if not, let me know! I'd love to hear about your experiences!

1.2 or Beta?
I mean, sure you can see other's 10 hearts events, but in 1.3 (current Beta) there's event that if you give bouquets to all bachelors of same gender, they will know you're "cheating" with all of them and there will be consequences - their hearts will drop to 0 and they'll refuse to talk with you.
Btw, bouquet has a bit cheaty usage: they dont count as weekly gift and still give affection. So you can literally purchase bachelor's hearts from 8 to 10 in single day.

It's perfectly possible to get the others to 10 hearts.

1. Recovering hearts with your spouse is incredibly easy, so the loss isn't even a problem.

The cheating cutscene only appears if you romance ALL of the bachelorettes, or ALL of the bachelorettes.

As long as you miss out on a bachelor or bachelorette, the cutscene won't trigger.

The cutscene only triggers if you're not married and have romanced all the bachelors or bachelorettes. And you can avoid that cutscene by having a rabbit's foot in your inventory. So you could still date the whole town if you wanted!

Sweet! Just have to remember that rabbit's foot is for event preventing, not for gift xD
