Family is new to game.. Dedicated server options?
We bought this game for the whole family.. Is there a way I can serve a 24/7 dedicated? If so, how to go about it? thanks in advance for any feedback. :)

Since the flow of time is dictated by the host's game, and the game doesn't progress until every player-character has gone to sleep at the end of the day, there's no way to have the host go AFK and leave the game "on" for their MP friends to continue playing.

Just like in single-player mode, though, the game auto-saves when everyone has gone to sleep, so you and your family will be able to progress through the game even without a 24-hour "always on" server.

Well, that's unfortunate. :( .. I was hoping to leave it on for my wife and kids, so they could play at their leasure. The scenes in the game should have been programmed to only go active for event participating players since they bseem to replay by year... :( O well.. Thanks anyway! Cheers.

That goes against what the game was meant to be. One workaround could be to have the save file on a network location or a flash drive and move it to the host when they want to play.

The one in nexus is broken according to mod compability list. Use this unofficial update instead https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/updating-mods-for-stardew-valley-1-4.156000/page-20#post-3353880
