This probably wins my favorite comment so far! Your kid has maximum chill.
Seriously, we had a good laugh about it. It was an honest mistake, easy to make. She picked up the wrong bombs from a chest and while trying to swap them out for the correct ones she just placed one down.
It was just a little jarring because it doesn't feel like a mechanic that fits.
I mean, yes, it is a bomb. It should blow things up. (Lovely comment from the smartass gallery) But here is my counter point. Swords are sharp, but do not kill our animals. Tools are sharp but do not destroy our crops. In other games, you literally CAN hurt your animals with tools and weapons, and you CAN destroy your crops early with the same items.
So...just odd that this game PROTECTS my assets in ways games don't otherwise, but just kinda randomly choose for this to be a thing that is harmful.
And I have played hundreds upon hundreds of hours of this game and never once had it happen, even by accident. So clearly it isn't a huge deal because it can be avoided easily even without knowing its dangers.
Was just fun to share the experience with a wonderful community, with their own wonderful stories <3 (plus, a google search didn't turn up NEARLY as many threads about this as I thought it would.)
There are always people out there, who just take a bunch of explosives and throw them at everything. It's also maybe a faster way than just removing all trees, fences and such things by hand, if you want to rebuild your farm layout from scratch^^
And it's always easier to just not having any interactions between specific things like bombs and kegs, crops, etc. (because less interactions equals less potential for bugs), but he added it instead of handling it like any other weapon, so it's most likely an intended feature for whatever reason.
Excellent. Laughter is good for you
Well, it is good game design to let at least one tool "erase" things. Was kinda referring to other games and how those tools work.
But like not knowing about bombs, I wouldn't be surprised if there were still a few things yet I also haven't noticed. Little surprising considering I am an avid wiki lurker for any title I am currently playing.
