there are CJB item spawn and CJB cheats menu as well as a good number of other mods that will allow you to do most anything. you can also directly edit the game save. both work on linux, mac shouldn't be an issue. anything specific you are after?

when I try to open it, nothing happens

no I did find a download but when I opened it nothing happens for CJB

install mod api for mac > when complete, 'mod' folder appears in steamlibary/common/Stardew Valley/Mods (example) > unzip mod, copy whole folder that was unzipped into mods folder
