reinstall still STOPS WORKING and won't load

I uninstalled, and reinstalled a new download, but it still crashes. Love this game, but I'm about to drop oif with this error continuing. TIA

What is the error? Is your game modded? Have you verified the game integrity through steam? Have you had this game installed and working previously?

Also, if your game files are corrupted, you may have to delete your Stardew Valley folder from the Steam/SteamApps/Common directory; Uninstalling the game through Steam won't delete this folder and that may be why crashes persist even though you re-installed.

-always- check that no folder/files are leftover after an uninstall. It'll save you so much trouble

If you want to report a bug, or get help, maybe tell people what's the problem next time? "STOPS WORKING" or "this error" doesn't tell anybody anything. We aren't mind readers.

Tha is, I re-installed and the game worked for a while until Java popped up saying "STARDEW VALLEY STOPPED WORKING. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "
This happens everytime I try to use the file I've got about 4to hours on. Tried to delete the old file and restart but same error. This is the only error I'm getting when I try to open, not sure what you need further or I'd supply that. Thank you
