Krobus or Marriage
Will Krobus move out if I marry anyone? Also, who should I marry?

Alex,
Sam,
Sebastian,
or Shane?

Thanksies! -The Everlee!

I would think he would move out. He says "Nobody can know about this" or something similar, so he probably wouldn't want a spouse to know he exists. I guess the children from previous marriages don't count because they're kids, so you can divorce someone and keep your kids and Krobus.

Alex is sweet but weird. I didn't like marrying him, compared to his counterpart Haley, who seemed ditzy but well meaning. They both made some "frisky" comments from time to time.

Sam, I've heard, is a very sweet husband, and acts more mature after marriage. He seemed too young and immature for me (I'm 25) but for someone closer to 18, I could see him being a good choice.

Sebastian and Shane are both great. Sebastian is more of a sweetheart, kinda dorky, and has a slightly troubled past. Shane is a hot mess - he'll act really depressed some days, but he's very appreciative and loving on his good days. Shane is my favorite character, but his marriage is somewhat lackluster; his room is messy, and he acts moody some days, even though he still loves you.

It's worth befriending them all to see their personalities evolve, but Sebastian is the one I'd pick for a stranger. Shane is an acquired taste.

I could never marry Shane. His room is gross and I honestly find him an exhausting char in-game without marrying him. I hate how he's written as someone with a very serious problem--depression-fueled substance abuse--yet in the context of your friendship with him, how it's treated in-game doesn't handle it with the seriousness I think it warrants. I mean, you can save his life when he nearly drinks himself to death and then the next day gift him a beer and he's like, Hey, thanks! The only one of his heart events I can stand now after several playthrus is the one that unlocks the blue chickens. I think it was probably better when he wasn't a marriage option, but the SV fandom seems heavily populated with people who romanticize "saving" people like this--I could point you to some particularly icky Let's Plays on You Tube that demonstrate this, but I'll play nice--and CA gave in.

I have never married Alex. He's seriously unappealing to me.

I have married Sebastian on several playthrus. My biggest complaint is he never changes his stupid hairstyle. That should be a thing. But he's sweet and says a lot of endearing things (for people who hate his smoking, he says after marrying you that he's trying to quit and there are not scenes of him smoking in the house or around the farm).

I married Haley, because she gets so much hate from the SV community so I wanted to see what she was like. I thought she was a really nice spouse, actually. I just loath her outfit.

Right now I'm loving having Krobus as a roommate. I wish the roommate option was available for other chars, but Krobus is cool. I decorated his "room" a little with sunflowers and the Jumino plushie because he looked kind of sad standing there by himself. His comments as a roommate are pretty interesting, the friend hugs are a sweet touch, and I hope his 14 heart event will be fun. I'm asexual IRL and appreciate options like that.

Eh. You can continue to drink after recovering from addiction. His marriage dialogue reflects that he's cutting back on alcohol - drinking cider or cola instead. Still unhealthy, but he's no longer drinking as a coping mechanism, or to the point of being ill. His room is filthy and disgusting, though, yeah - he has dialogue about "maybe I'll sweep in here today" so it'd be nice if some days his room looked better than others. But yeah, there's a big difference between having a beer on Friday night at the bar vs sitting by yourself in the dark drinking a 6-pack.

Still, other gift options are similar. You can give Pam a beer right before she drives the bus. :P It's more of a gameplay mechanic than story-driven. Penny even has a few things where she expresses that she wants her mom to stop drinking, but it's not really touched on much.
