Purpose of Seed Maker?
I put in a strawberry, hoping to get at least 2 out of it but I only got 1 seed? Is this pointless or did I just have badluck? :lunar2019piginablanket:

Personally I don't use the seed maker unless I'm really tight on money or am looking to fill my greenhouse with something that's currently out of season. The only thing I really used my seed makers for in bulk was ancient fruit.

There is a approx 97% chance to get 2 seeds. Seed makers are good if you have a lot of them because you'll get probably 2 more seeds for each fruit of veg.
Oh and daily luck does not affect the number of seeds produced

Thanks! I was just trying it out because Pierre doesn't sell strawberry seeds to me yet (Only does in the Easter event right now?) and I was hoping to get a ton for the next year.

Also remember that strawberries work well for this also as you only have access to strawberry seeds one day a year and each plant can result in multiple strawberries.

I put all of my no-star crops (at least, all the ones I don't turn into juice\wine\jam\pickles) into the seed maker. Get back as many or more seeds as you put in, and when planted have a chance of being an starred crop. Or it will turn into an ancient seed, which is (usually) a much more valuable fruit, anyway. (Okay, there's a small chance of it turning into a "mixed" seed, but even those can be an upgrade if you're using something cheap like parsnips).

So it's good for upgrading crops, in the (potentially very) long run, though if you're heavy into Artisan crops there are better ways to use unstarred crops.

I just always use the seed maker to produce enough seeds to replant my fields, so I never have to buy any seeds after the first crop.

I used it when I needed to get five gold ancient fruit. When I got a gold ancient fruit, I stored it, but anything less, and I used it for seeds. Ended up with a few plants growing and got the five golds that I needed :)

The higher quality the crop, the more seeds you are likely to get as well.

Put cranberries in to prepare for your cranberry greenhouse :)

Came here to say this. You get a harvest every four days from one planting, so even if you only got one seed from the seed maker it would be worthwhile.
