Stardew Fair - Don't Bet Green!
Green used to have a 75% chance of coming up on the betting wheel. Just now I played and got more than 50% orange. I think the update must have rebalanced the wheel to make it truly random.

This pisses me off a lot. I hate gambling. The only way to be sure to get your 2000 tokens for the stardrop now seems to be by playing games, of which fishing is the best, and i'm GOOD at fishing and barely got 200 tokens per play, for which I had to pay 50 gold per attempt. This is a totally crap "rebalance" and I hope it gets changed back.

I don't think he changed anything about the wheel I just played through the fair and got to 2000 stars easily, and I only landed on orange about every 3 or 4 times I played.

Nope, nothing of the wheel was changed. The only thing that was changed in the fair was some boundary sections

Didn't notice the wheel had changed, still mainly green. However, the casino has definitely altered, no waiting 15 turns to get a few goodish roll. I went on a bad luck day and won over 100000 in a relatively short time never had 3 diamonds together before.

It still worked as it always did for me, you just had bad rng.

Couldn't you just win the stardew valley fair display two times in a row for 1000 each? No gambling needed.

Maybe, but you can get a Stardrop right away and the wheel means your 1000 stars easily become the 3400 needed to get all the store items. If you always bet on green you can get it in 5 spins

That's not how the fair works. You don't get to save tokens from year to year, and you don't get to enter twice in one year.

I don't think rng can cause this big of a jump in luck. It has always been 75% green before, reliably. Today it was closer to 75% orange. I nearly lost all my money, and my friend did lose all his money twice, because both of us just kept thinking it was merely bad luck and surely would straighten out eventually. But it never did.
Edit: I mean tokens, not money.

How do you know for sure that nothing about the wheel was changed?

Many of us have gotten to that point again in our new play-throughs and have tested the old way and found nothing has changed. You could also rummage in the game code to verify, but it also wasn't on the patch notes so I don't know if it would be worth the effort.

Also, that is not how probabilities work.You can still get a bad run with an overall 75% chance of "rolling" green.

Did it several hours ago. Lost once in the beginning and then won about 5 times. Sorry, dude, just bad rng for you.

It's not in the patch notes. If it was changed, it would have been mentioned.
