How to Change Farm Types Mid-Game?
tl;dr: I'm unhappy with my current farm map but definitely do not want to restart because of all the progress I have made, how do I change farm type?

I initially started with the Hilltop Farm based on the cool features it has, quarry, river with fish, gold pan spots in the river, etc. (Mostly for novelty instead of usefulness).

However as I played more and more I realized the terrain makes awkward places for things, For example a 1/3 of the area below the quarry is unusable because of the small pond, you can't do much near where the ends of the river where the land gets thin, and the area below Grandpa's shrine and to the left of the river are rather skinny.

You're also sort of obligated to put buildings in certain places because others would't make much sense or would be in the way, ie. on the raised section to the right of the map, or along the cliff of the quarry or in front of your house. I'd also not like to build on the quarry because that removes the key selling point of the map.

I'm on Spring 3 of Year 2, and I've made lots of progress, (only need a truffle for the community center), I've had some crazy luck, and I don't want to make the game fade by watching the same cutscenes multiple times, so is there a way to change farm type with mods/editing some data?

Thanks

Alright so first off you want to go to C:\Users<your user name here>\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves and choose the save you will be editing. There should be 2 files with the name of your character with a string of numbers after them, open both with notepad (I've also been editing the old file just to be safe. Just follow the same steps as the others)

Hit Ctrl + F and enter "<whichFarm>" it should bring up something similar to "<whichFarm>0</whichFarm>" All you have to do is edit the number in the middle.

0 = Standard Farm 1 = River farm 2 = Forest Farm 3 = Hill-top farm 4 = Wilderness farm

Edit BOTH files with the same number.

Then just open your game, then the save and you're good to go
