What's the fastest people completed community center?
Without cheating, of course? Based on the seasonal nature of most objectives, it seems like it was balanced around finishing all of them after around two years if done casually. This gives you the first year to get the easy bundles and unlock the better upgrades and the second year to cover all the seasonal stuff you missed the first time around.

With the witch cart, you can get lucky and get a bunch of items early. This seems like the most practical way to obtain the more time consuming items - stuff from the desert, orchard fruits, and those stupid fish that can only be caught on a rainy day during a full moon, on a day ending in a prime number in the one tile of water fgdgdfgffghffv. Fished up treasure and omni geodes can also really speed things up too.

So while RNG will definitely be a factor, if it goes in your favor you could theoretically get all the bundles pretty fast I imagine if you focus on it. So just how quickly have people completed the community center?

If I get a red cabbage from the pig lady I can usually do it in time for Winter year 1 (you can get most of the winter forageables in the mines). You just need to zoom around day 1 of Winter to get the purple flower. To do this I sacrifice the mushroom profit in the cave so that I can have the bat fruit for the artisan bundle.

The red cabbage is the key and it takes a lot more luck than people realize. I think a lot of people just cheat the cabbage with the naming glitch, but doing it naturally is tough since the odds of the pig lady having it are so small each week. Expect to redo your entire run 3 or 4 times to get it once on the first year naturally.

With the cabbage I could finish in early winter year one. I have yet to get one in time after doing two seperate runs with this goal.

If you get lucky with the Traveling Merchant you could technically finish it in summer. That's the earliest you can get all of the quality crops, which are not sold by the merchant. But you would have to get really lucky and make loads of money to buy all the stuff.
I never made it before winter myself.

The best I did was mid winter year 1. I was able to get a red cabbage seed from the winter market and grow it in a pot in my house.

I had gotten close before with the mushroom cave, but the bat cave made it a lot easier to complete the artisan bundle.

Yeah, the luck involved would be astronomical for a summer year 1 finish. You would need to get all the winter and fall forageables and crops from the pig lady. Just trying to get a single red cabbage from her is unlikely so trying to get like 10 items that way would require either cheating or the sort of run of luck you might see in one game out of several thousand.

Spring 13, year one requires cheating in the form of bug abuse. I guess most speed runners consider bug abuse alright if they aren't hacking the game but I have always considered it a no go personally.

Nevermind what I said lol, i forgot the full explanation of the speedrunner xD Most speedrunners run glitchless so no cheating, and I forgot what they said about the Spring 13 thing because it's been a while since I've watched the stream lol sorry my bad askdjfbsj

Why is the Red cabbage so critical?

Pierre sells it in year 2, not in year 1

Okay so I asked in the discord and on a really perfect run you could finish the CC at mid summer without cheats/glitch abuse in 1.4. Grind fishing for early money to get the coop and barn upgrades necessary and to finish the bus, Travelling Cart could provide the fall crops needed to finish the greenhouse, Winter forage is also available in the cart, but you could complete all of that early by trading some Spring seeds to get summer seeds, summer seeds for fall, and fall seeds to get winter seeds and plant then in the garden pots. This is only possible with impossibly premium rng from the cart.

Personally the fastest I've finished the CC is around late fall because I lucked out in getting a crocus and a red cabbage early.

That's it. The crocus and the red cabbage. Personally I would wonder what you would gain from changing the mojo of the game so much to get the greenhouse so early. But, the question was "what is the earliest" and here you have it :) Mind you, I've never got a crocus from the pig lady.

Does the pig lady sell coop and barn items? Getting stuff like a rabbits foot seems like a pretty significant investment of time and money otherwise.

The world record in terms of speedrunning is 2h 56m 27s right now, but in that case it's easier to just get into the second year instead of wasting time with the RNG-cart

but yeah, if you want to do it casually, then Winter or late fall is propably the most common thing you could see without planning too much.

I only ever finished the community center in summer of year 2. That was the quickest I've ever done it but then again I think that was after I played the game quite a few times to remember which crops I needed and which crops would get me the most money throughout the first year and I also did a lot of planning in when I should upgrade my tools, get the farm buildings, and when to go mining and finishing but mostly everything is rng based.

Also, don't forget "fishing" in the trash cans. Was able to finish many fish bundles from trash can drops. My personal best is still summer 2 since I have never gotten a cabbage from any source other than Pierre, and I do not restart days unless I encounter an extremely major face palm event.
