[QUERY] Why has the Living Large Achievement Only Reached 23.3%? : Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley launched in February 2016.

As of February 2020, Stardew Valley has sold over 10,000,000 copies.

Why is it that only 23.3% of the 10 million copies has ever reached Living Large, which is to upgrade the house to biggest size?

Many people stop playing after they win the evaluation and/or after they finish the Community Center and subsequent quests. Others see the cellar upgrade as useless since casks are "meh". Some just think the nursery's ugly and/or don't want children.

I play on my Switch for this game. The only time I'm on PC is when I'm testing mods.

I think it's a shame you can't get rid of the furniture in the nursery. Got married once for the achievement and haven't bothered since. Would be great if I could fit a few more kegs in there instead of beds. Be more of an incentive to upgrade.

To add to the above points, many casual players will have no idea the secret woods exist, and would have no idea how to scrounge up 150 pieces of hardwood for that upgrade.

Tbh I find the second upgrade to be enough, I only go for the last one if I have a lot of money and resources to spare and even then it's not because I want it it's more just because I can.

You can see this in almost any game. The more time is needed for an achievement, the less the completion rate is on steam achievements. And it doesn't matter, how good the game is or how easy it is on the long run.
