Is giving pierre diamonds efficient

So im tryna get pierres special seeds and I thought that the easiest way to a mans heart was diamonds, but after giving him 7 im starting to think this was a mistake

Diamonds are expensive. Although they are liked by everyone, cheaper gifts are better. Pierre loves almost anything that you grow on the farm, and vegetables are liked by almost everyone. The important thing is the quality.

If by "Special Seeds" you mean Garlic, Red Cabbage and Artichoke... these are only available from year 2+

Pierre sells these beginning in year 2 But it really has noting to do with friendship. He will send you a recipe in the mail though if friendship is high enough.

Pretty sure Daffodil and Dandelion are cheaper if you stock up on them in spring.
