How to equip boots

I looked in the wiki but there's nothing in it. I found the boots in a treasure chest in the mines

Go to your inventory where you can see your character and place them there. Same with hats and rings.

If you open your character inventory, you should be able to put them in the feet slot next to your character portrait.

Left click to pick up an item, right-click to equip them to that slot. Place the boots over the boot slot next to your character. Same with putting bait on a fiberglass fishing rod, or ammo into a slingshot. Hover over where it goes, then right-click.

you could also just shift-click the boots and they'll go straight on (at least if you aren't wearing boots already. not sure if it works if you are)
