Is there a way to create a new player cabin in an existing world?

I wanted to join a friend of mine, but unfortunatly she only has one cabin and an extra player slot already used by someone else. Is there a way for her to add an extra slot or to create a new player cabin altogether?

Since you can have 3 extra people on a farm I would assume she could go to robin and have 1 built. Unless I'm reading that wrong and she has 3 people not 2 currently. She could also trash a Cabin and remake one for you, but that would remove that player completely.

They are currently two playing on her game, and there is no slot left. I'll tell her about Robin, assuming she knows who that npc is. Thanks.

If there's her and 2 others, she should be able to go to robin the carpenter (The NPC in the Mountain lakes area) and she'll be able to build you a shack, I think they're an instant build and there price depends on what style she/you want.

Two plus the host is only 3. They can add a 3rd person for another cabin built. Like Bull137 mentions. The game allows 4 people total (Unless you use a mod) 3 farmhands and 1 host.

Sorry the the misunderstanding, there is only the host and another player. So, she can get two extra cabins built.

The cabin is not showing up as an option to build. My friend has a host with one extra cabin, trying to add a cabin and it's not working

EXTRA cabins can be added in both single and multiplayer mode. you just have to ask Robin for constructing farm buildings. Cabins must be added before inviting another player.
If the host started the farm in multiplayer and only requested one extra player to a max of 2 players, then that may be restricting the buildings, i dont know for sure.
But the host CAN open the farm in single player mode, then go to Robin to build extra cabins, save ,and reopen in multiplayer and invite you to join.

remember: building cabins is under CONSTRUCT FARM BUILDINGS, not house renovations.
