Questions about the Dinosaur Egg

I was fishing and just got a Dinosaur Egg from a fishing chest. I've seen screenshots and whatnot of dinosaurs, so I assume you can hatch a Dinosaur Egg into a dinosaur somehow. But before I do anything with it, I have three important questions.

First question, will putting the Dinosaur egg into the incubator even hatch a dinosaur? I don't want to just try it and have nothing happen because in my 300 hours this is the first time I've actually gotten it. But I'm excited right now so I don't want to make any quick decisions.

Second question, if I incubate the egg and a dinosaur actually hatches from it, will it lay more Dinosaur eggs? I want to try and complete the museam along with everything else, so I don't want to throw away this opportunity to hand in an artifact.

Third, and by far the most important question. If I can hatch a Dinosaur from an incubator, will it straight up eat my chickens and ducks? I don't want to do this if the dinosaur will eat my other animals. That's a massive downside to getting a dinosaur, so I really want to get all the info I need before incubating this egg.
