Introduction Quest

Finished a couple quests and I'm on my 7th in day game. Had some trouble finding some people so I kind of delayed the intro new guy quest. I found some more new people, but when I say hi to them now, I dont get any special cool intro dialougue like on the first day. They just make a general comment and thats it. Am I missing out on anything important of getting to know their character and such? Also missed Lewis's birthday, does anything happen if I didnt talk to him on his birthday? Sorry I'm just a stickler when it comes to getting every little detail of game lore lol

For every person in town, you should get a special greeting the very first time you talk to them. If for some reason this isn't happening, and you've missed out on the unique dialogue, you're not going to miss anything important - they're all generic "oh you're the new farmer in town" messages.

No, it doesn't matter that you missed a birthday. You simply missed an opportunity to score a bunch of friendship points. You can still get Lewis to like you, of course, just give him some gifts he likes and be sure to give him something he loves on his birthday next year.

There's no special birthday text either, other than if you give them something they say "oh you remembered!" or something.

Something similar happened to me. When I played through a second time, I talked to some of the women in the store on Tuesday. They gave me their stock response to that location. Since some of the people have certain responses they always give in a paritcular place/situation, it over-rides the intro blurb. But ^ was correct, you won't miss much.
