how to get my save file?

okay so I recently got a new laptop and moved stardew valley over, as one does.... downloaded the game on steam, but just transferred the save files (about 53 h, and almost at a million g) and mods. now, i would understand if ALL my progress was gone, but its not. I still have my progress from 10 h ago, but well, 10h can get you rather far in-game, so im proper pissed. (also- my mods have not altered the game in this way on my old computer and they still work now, just earlier in-game)
ive tried to do the thing where you go into the smapi save backup folder and just rename the old file to farmer_35477857 and delete the others, but alas, i cannot rename the old files- idek why. there is no save folder, only the smapi one. ive tried creating one and just pasting the old files in there, booted up the game, didnt work.

has anyone any idea what i could do? id really hate to permanently lose all the progress as i filled an entire shed with kegs, which obviously takes super long- id hate to have to do it over and over again! thanks in advance!

Check that page out. It tells where the save files are located on for SDV.

AAAAAAAAHHHHH i mean I did look at that website, I just thought the way they got to the saves folder was just a fancy way- alas, its a different folder!
As doubtful I was before actually following that site, I gotta thank you!
