Spouse Losing Hearts?
So I'm married to Alex and we adopted a kid kind of recently and I also gave him a bouquet because I wanted to see what it did. I checked and he was at 10/12 hearts and now he's at 11 and just keeps either dropping by little amounts or talking to him does nothing. I know the bouquet opens up Heart decay to max 8/8 hearts to bachelors when you give it to them but have I opened up greater very decay to my spouse now?

Give him gifts of his favorite things. You can give him one a day.

you need to give gifts or bouqets often or their hearts will decay. Any spouses hearts can be 13/12 max

Just get in the habit of talking to them every morning before leaving the house and you'll be fine

Give him something he likes and/or loves that's easy for you to obtain. As I recall, he likes Eggs. You can give your spouse a gift once a day (with no weekly restriction).

It's not something you need to invest a huge amount of time and energy into, but a little regular maintenence is a good thing.

Yeah I talk and get the heart from them every day and give him gifts he likes every day but it still goes down sharply and suddenly

Hm, you're not talking to them while they're in bed at night or anything? Are you giving gifts to other possible bachelor/ettes outside of their birthdays? Because jealousy IS a thing and it can errode your relationship.

Does talking-to them at night decrease hearts?

If they're in bed, yes. It's the equivalent of waking them up while they're sleeping to just... talk. It'd be pretty annoying.

Have you been giving gifts to any other single people? That lowers hearts with your spouse. :cozyjunimogreen:

You can still give bachelors/bachelorettes gifts on their birthdays or give them items they've requested on the Help Wanted board without losing hearts with your spouse, but yeah, if you give them gifts any other time you'll lose hearts.

What if I'm married to a guy and give a girl a present?

If that guy is eligible for being in a relationship with you then yes, it will still count towards jealousy. Like Linus and Gus? No. Sam or Sebastian? Yes.
