What are some good mods for multiplayer?

there are a lot of mods that work in multiplayer, but they are divided into 2 categories: mods you can use without anyone else needing and and mods that everyone would need.
things like changing the look of your animals, buildings etc, those, only you need. if you want to use mods like automate or likewise ones then it would be best that everybody has them so that there won't be any problems.

on the smapi site or even the wiki site there is a pretty informative list on which mods are compatible at the moment and what they do. i suggest you take a look :) ( https://mods.smapi.io/ )

also, i can suggest some mods, but you have to see for yourself if you want to use them, those are just some of my favourites, lika automate or npc locations. i really love elle's animal replacement mods and ace expanded buildings mod just to name a few.
